Isn’t it nice to be in the midst of Summer getting projects done around the home? It’s up to all of us in the EHS profession to set the example for our families and co-workers. Remember your safety glasses and ear plugs when cutting the grass or sawing lumber and don’t forget to have someone help hold the extension ladder for you when climbing. I’m sure you can think of other home activities where we need to watch out for safety, but you get the point.
This is my last letter as your Chapter President and I have enjoyed my time in this position. I’ve been active with the Chapter Executive Board for several years now and will continue to do so in a different role. Over the last couple of years, I have written several times about volunteering, because without a team stepping forward to help plan meetings, work on the website, welcome new Members and other activities, it would be difficult for the Chapter to survive. I would like to thank everyone that has gotten more active and hope that others will continue to step forward.
